The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) is the Joint Powers government agency operating Wheels Fixed-Route and Dial-A-Ride in the Tri-Valley Area.
LAVTA was formed in 1986 by the cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Alameda County, and has a Board of Directors composed
of two city council members from each city and the county supervisor from the area as well as alternates.

Wheels is a service of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), which provides local public transit service to the cities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton and to the adjacent unincorporated areas of Alameda County. The service area is approximately 40 square miles and is home to almost 171,652 residents. [About Us]

of two city council members from each city and the county supervisor from the area as well as alternates. In addition to the board of directors, LAVTA also has the Administration and Budget, Legislative, Marketing, Operations/Planning and Scheduling and the Wheels Accessible Advisory committees. The purpose of the Wheels SRTP and Strategic Plan is to establish an overall vision and mission for Wheels, and develop a
series of goals and strategies to guide the future development of Wheel’s services, programs and organization. [SRTP]
- Title VI Information
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) grants all citizens equal access to all its transportation services. It is further the intent of LAVTA, that all citizens are aware of their rights to such access. This area is designed to serve as an educational tool for citizens so that they may understand one of the civil rights laws that protect their benefit of LAVTA programs and services, specifically, as it relates to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
