AGENDA

  1. Call to Order.


  2. Meeting Open to Public:

    • Members of the audience may address the Board of Directors on any matter within the general subject matter jurisdiction of the LAVTA Board of Directors.
    • Members of the audience may address the Board of Directors on items on the Agenda at the time the Chair calls for the particular Agenda item.
    • Public comments should not exceed three (3) minutes.
    • Items are placed on the Agenda by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the General Manager, or by any three members of the Board of Directors.  Agendas are published 72 hours prior to the meeting.
    • No action may be taken on matters raised that are not on the Agenda.


  3. Minutes of the March 24, 2008 Meeting of the Committee.

    Recommendation:  Approval


  4. FY2008 Proposed Service to Alameda County Fair.

    Recommendation: Approve in concept Option 2 to provide service to the 2008 Alameda County Fair. Direct staff to work out operational and marketing details with our service contractor and the AC Fair. Direct staff to approach AC Fair and provide financial support for the “on-the-ground” information agent to assist Fair patrons with the transit options LAVTA and BART are providing.


  5. Lease of Articulated Buses for Operational Evaluation – Follow-Up.

    Recommendation:
     It is recommended that the Operations, Planning and Scheduling Committee endorse the acquisition of one to two pre-owned 60-foot articulated buses for the purpose of evaluating the potential operation of articulated buses in the medium-term future.


  6. Proposed Fall 2008 Schedule and Service Adjustments.

    Recommendation:
      It is recommended that the Operations, Planning andScheduling Committee endorse the proposed schedule and service adjustments for Fall 2008.


  7. Matters Initiated by Committee Members.


  8. Set date for Next Meeting.


  9. Adjournment.
