WHEELS 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED WITH FREE FARE DAY
Wheels announced it will move its Rider Appreciation FREE FARE DAY to Thursday July 27, 2006.
July 2006 has been a month long celebration for the agency, commemorating TWENTY YEARS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE in helping people access jobs, schools, shopping and recreation.
The FREE FARE DAY, originally scheduled for July 20, was moved to not conflict with a region-wide Spare the Air Day. Wheels is committed to its community and wants to show appreciation with this invitation for all riders, including Route 70X and Dial-A-Ride paratransit services.
Also, during the month of July, Wheels passengers have an opportunity to win a Monthly SuperSaver pass that are being awarded each week. Entry forms are available on board all Wheels fixed route buses.
To commemorate the anniversary, a limited edition poster is available at the Livermore Transit Center, Wheels Administrative Offices and at www.wheelsbus.com. Cost per each poster is $5.00.
Take some time out of your busy day to stroll down memory lane to learn how far Wheels has come since it hit the roads in 1986, visit www.wheelsbus.com.
