Wheels Offers "Green Ticket" to BART Riders to
Attend Dublin's 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival
This year, take WHEELS to the completely captivating events of Dublin's 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival, which is being held Saturday and Sunday, March 15-16, 2008 from 10 AM until 5 PM. There will be a variety of events happening around town and WHEELS can get you there without the hassles of traffic and parking.
The heart of the festivities will take place at the Dublin Civic Center, which can be accessed via Route 10. There will be carnival rides, Irish music and dancing, arts & crafts and many different foods and beverages. To obtain a complete schedule of all the events, visit www.DublinStPats.com or call the event hotline at (925) 833-6629.
For festival goers commuting to the Tri-Valley via BART, board a Route 10 bus for FREE on the Dublin side of the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station. Ask your driver for a Green Ticket*, which is valid for your return trip to BART at the end of the day. A map indicating the bus stop locations closest to the various festival events and activities is available at the BART Station and online at www.wheelsbus.com. Some bus routes that intersect the parade routes will be detoured during the parade.
Mayor Janet Lockhart says, "Welcome to Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Celebration and thank you to Wheels for getting you there safely. Enjoy your visit. Erin Go Bragh!"
WHEELS is a convenient way to travel throughout the Tri-Valley and is an excellent way to build a cleaner, healthier and less congested community. For additional information on routes and schedules call 455-7500 or visit us online at www.wheelsbus.com.
*WHEELS' St. Patrick's Day Green Tickets are issued only by Route 10 drivers on the Dublin side of the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station. Green Tickets are valid for the return trip to BART on festival days only and are not transferable or a substitute for another type of Wheels fare.
