Take a Seat on the Accessibility Committee
To ensure that its transit services are used and also are easily obtainable by all members of the public, the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), operator of the WHEELS bus system, is seeking volunteers to fill two (2) vacancies on the WHEELS Accessible Advisory Committee (WAAC) for City of Dublin representatives: one (1) Regular Member; and one (1) Alternate Member.
The WAAC is an advocacy group for disabled and senior patrons in the Tri-Valley and meets quarterly at the WHEELS office in Livermore. The WAAC was established to provide input on key issues related to the provision of ADA transit service in the WHEELS service area. All Committee meetings are open to the general public. Representatives are typically appointed to a 2-year term and can serve on the committee for up to four (4) consecutive terms.
